Dream Scheme

The Westview Dream Scheme run by adult volunteers, has been successfully operating for many years and is open to young people aged 8 to 14 years.

The young people are encouraged to follow a set of agreed criteria, for example, consideration for others at all times, never to bully and never to use bad language.

We have lots of different activities including:

  • crafts;

  • table tennis and badminton (outdoor activities, so mainly run on light nights);

  • cooking (will again be possible with our new kitchen);

  • providing a float for Fleetwood Carnival;

  • access to computers with internet access - so any homework tasks can be done;

  • making planters and bird boxes and learning woodworking crafts.

During the recent refurbishment the young people went to bowling, Morrisons to make pizzas and have fruit tasting session. Some volunteers attend the Remembrance Sunday services and all sing carols and Christmas songs at local care homes.

If you would like to join, application forms are available from the Westview Community Centre - youngsters will go on a waiting list until there is a vacancy.

Any adults wishing to volunteer to help at the sessions please contact the Community Centre.

Dream Scheme sessions are held every Wednesday 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
